I am very excited to be a part of the 21st Century family and to work with the students in the program. This will be my fourth year in the 21st Century, so I know what it takes to have a successful year. I am currently a student at Alameda College, and in my free time I enjoy going bowling and camping with family and friends. Ms. Annie: Hello. I have been a part of the St. Elizabeth Elementary School for over 25 years! I love working with children and I cannot wait to help them in any way I can. I am a bookworm and in my free time I always read and attend my book club here in Oakland! |
Ms. Alba: Hello! I am a UC Berkeley student, currently completing my thesis and preparing to graduate this year. I first came to the 21st Century Program three years ago when I did my field study. I cannot tell you how excited I am to join the program for my third year. In my free time, I like to cook and to go hiking. Ms. Sandy: Hello! I am a UC Berkeley student studying Anthropology and Education. I worked as a program leader at St. Anthony School last spring, and I volunteered for 21st Century at St. Elizabeth in 2016 as part of my field work in education studies. I am very happy to be returning to St. Elizabeth this year to help with the program! In my free time I enjoy reading and making art. Ms. Anna: Hello! I am looking forward to working with the students and becoming a part of the 21st Century family here at St. Elizabeth. This will be my first year as a program leader; I'm excited to learn and grow alongside the students. I graduated from U.C, Berkeley this past May with a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Science and a minor in Education. I'm am currently working towards a credential in K-8th teaching and I hope to start graduate school soon. In my free time, I like to go to the beach and do photography. Ms. Utami: Hello! I am happy to be here! This is currently my 14th year working at St. Elizabeth and I cannot wait to see the students’ amazing growth! I love learning new things, and I hold two master’s degrees in education from San Francisco State University and from CSU - East Bay. In my free time I like to go hiking with my family and friends. Mr. Chris: Hi everyone! I'm so grateful and excited to continue working with the staff at St. Elizabeth Elementary! I received my bachelor’s degree at UC Berkeley and my path now is in the field of education. I want to work in Oakland because it feels like a second home to me and it is a community I feel strong ties to. Working with children has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling and it feels great to be back! Ms. Geno: Hola! I am so excited to be back in the 21st Century Program for the 10th year! This year I will serve as a substitute for the 21st Century Program while my youngest son is starting college. In my free time, I love to cook and go to the mountain with my family. |
